How To Reset Internet Explorer Start & Search Pages

Spyware and adware often change your browser Start and Search pages to point to unwanted websites. Even if you've removed the infestation responsible, you may still need to reset the web settings. Here's how to do this in Internet Explorer.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 1 minute

Here's How:

  1. Do not open Internet Explorer. Make sure all browser Windows and other applications (including email) are closed.
  2. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop
  3. Choose 'Properties'
  4. Click the 'Programs' tab
  5. Click the 'Reset Web Settings' button
  6. Click 'Apply'
  7. Click 'OK'
