Description: Davinia exploits a vulnerability in Office 2000 products that allows scripting of certain ActiveX controls. Received in email, the virus automatically launches, sets the macro security settings to low, and installs a malicious macro that mass-mails itself to others and overwrites all files on the drive with html code and an .html extension. The files are unrecoverable.

How to prevent it: Davinia takes advantage of a security vulnerability. Install the Microsoft patch to prevent Davinia.
