GoBack 3 Deluxe
The developers of GoBack modestly portray it as a program that "delivers quick and easy system recovery, giving users the power to instantly undo serious PC problems and greatly reduce downtime and service calls." It is the understatement of the year. GoBack is a sanity saver. GoBack works transparently in the background, monitoring and logging all actions affecting the hard drive. System "Safe points" are created, allowing a range of choices if recovery is ever necessary. Installations trigger safe points, as do system bootups. Periodic time lapses also trigger the creation of safe points. Any of these may be chosen as the revert time either from the console or during bootup. Of course, all this recovery takes a bit of storage to accomplish. Roxio recommends ten percent of the drive be allocated for GoBack's use. Ten percent is a small price to pay for total peace of mind.
