Guide Review
MailDefense™
MailDefense is important protection for Windows PC users, defending the most significant vector used by viruses – email. By quarantining harmful attachments before they reach the user's inbox, removing scripts and ActiveX controls (often referred to as active content) from within the body of the email, and stripping any macros from Microsoft® Office files, MailDefense provides email that is safe to open, read and forward. Because MailDefense works against both known and unknown viruses, newly discovered viruses will be stopped in their tracks. MailDefense works cohesively alongside existing antivirus software; in fact, it gives signature-based scanners a chance to catch up to these fast spreading threats. MailDefense defends a variety of mail clients, including Outlook®, Outlook Express®, Netscape® Mail, and Eudora®.
