Kaspersky Labs virus scanning technology is integrated into the Policy Patrol e-mail monitoring system
Kaspersky Labs, an international data security software developer and
Red Earth Software (www.redearthsoftware.com), an US-based company
specializing in the development of e-mail processing software, announce
a mutual partnership agreement paving the way for the implementation of
Kaspersky Labs anti-virus scanner technology into e-mail monitoring
system of Red Earth's program Policy Patrol.
Policy Patrol is a complete e-mail monitoring system for Microsoft
Exchange Server and Lotus Domino e-mail gateways. Red Earth's software
solutions include a wide range of valuable add-on features for extending
the functionality of enterprise-wide e-mail processing systems:
anti-spam, virus checking, keyword filtering, attachment blocking,
disclaimers, signatures and many more e-mail management options.
Policy Patrol's functionality has now been significantly enhanced thanks
to the integration of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, one of the most effective
and highly productive solutions for detecting malicious programs. The
users of Policy Patrol can now find and neutralize viruses, network
worms, and Trojan programs in all incoming and outgoing e-mail messages.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus technology also scans all attached files (including
archived and compressed files), OLE-objects and message body text. Now,
Policy Patrol users are ensured comprehensive and dependable e-mail
filtration.
"Our cooperation with Kaspersky Labs enables us to extensively raise the
level of security provided to Policy Patrol users. The combined use of
our technology for e-mail correspondence and the anti-virus scanner
created by an acknowledged expert in the field of computer security,
provides Red Earth Software customers with a means that efficiently
detects and neutralizes infected messages", said Mike Spykerman, CEO of
Red Earth Software.
"At the present time, e-mail accounts for more than 90% of all
registered computer virus infections. For this very reason it is hard to
overstate the importance of protecting computer network e-mail gateways
- the singular entry point of malicious programs", commented Natalya
Kaspersky, Kaspersky Labs CEO. "Kaspersky Anti-Virus contains all the
latest anti-virus technologies, all of which have been integrated with
the Policy Patrol system, allowing our new partner to comprehensively
protect the users of its software against e-mail viruses."
