There are several variants of this hoax, which attempt to discredit the safety of popular games. The text of one such email follows:

TO ALL

IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED ANY OF THESE GAMES = FROGAPULT.EXE ELFBOWL.EXE (FROG GAME) & (ELF BOWLING GAME)

PLEASE CAN YOU DELETE THEM COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM AS THEY BOTH HAVE A DELAYED VIRUS ATTACHED TO THEM THAT WILL BE ACTIVATED ON CHRISTMAS DAY AND WILL WIPE OUT YOUR SYSTEM. LET EVERYONE KNOW OF THIS.

Symantec has thoroughly tested several versions of these games and provides CRC's to verify the integrity of the games.

Remember, hoaxes cost companies - and people - time and money. Please do not forward them to others.
