According to reports from Bigelow's Virus Troubleshooting guide, authored by Ken Dunham, ANTI infects only applications and not the System file. Due to a bug in the virus, all the Code 1 resource attributes are cleared. This can result in an affected application using memory less effectively. This damage cannot be corrected by disinfection; optimally affected files should be restored from a clean backup. There are two variants of the ANTI virus. ANTI.A renders ANTI.B inoperable.
