According to reports from F-Secure, MTX exhibits the following characteristics:

What to look for: Inability to access certain antivirus vendor sites. Command Software is an unblocked site and has established an MTX center with free online scanning tools to assist infected users. If you have access to a non-infected system, Symantec provides an indepth analysis, manual repair instructions, and an unblocking tool to access antivirus vendor sites (even those other than Symantec).
