How to Remove Explore.Zip

Here's How:
- Click on the Start button and select "Run..." from the Start menu. Type win.ini and click on "OK" to open the win.ini program in a text editor.
- For Windows 95 or 98 delete run=<Windows System Path\Explore.exe or run=<Windows System Path\_setup.exe if they exist in the win.ini file.
- Windows NT users need to press CTRL-ALT-Delete and click on the Task Manager button to "End Task" Explore.exe or _setup.exe if running.
- Windows NT users need to select "Run..." from the Start menu and type in regedit to edit the Registry.
- Click on plus symbol for each directory, in order: HKEY_CURRENT_USERS, Software, Microsoft, Windows, NT, CurrentVersion, Windows, Run.
- Click on Explore.exe or _setup.exe if present and press delete to delete them from the registry. Confirm the deletion request.
- Select "Exit" from the Registry menu.
- Reboot the computer and delete any files originally associated with the worm to avoid reinfection or spreading of the worm.
Tips:
- Always make a backup of important files before major events, even if infected.
- Carefully work within the Registry to avoid serious corruption or operational errors.
- Windows NT users may need to reboot if unable to delete files in use in the registry.
