Mary Landesman is a computer security professional with several years of experience in virus research, virus prevention and virus detection techniques. Currently, Mary is a Senior Security Researcher for Cisco. In 2009, 2010, and 2011 Mary was awarded a Microsoft MVP for her work in consumer security.
With a background in telecom security and technical training, Mary has been directly involved in computer security since the early 1990s. Having worked in a variety of roles within the security industry, Mary brings a unique perspective to the topic of antivirus software and virus prevention. Mary's work has also been published in various industry magazines, including Virus Bulletin, PC World, Mac World, and ZDNet. She has also presented at various industry conferences, including Virus Bulletin, E-Congress, and InfraGard. Prior to joining Cisco, Mary was a manager on the Microsoft Anti-Malware Team.
After attending Brevard College, Mary pursued courses in BASIC programming, DBase, and C++.
