Malware isn't a prank and it's oh so 90's to think it is. Modern day malicious software is criminally intended for profit. And one way attackers can make money is by stealing data from sensitive corporations and selling it to competitors or other governments. Protecting the critical assets of these customers puts antivirus vendors at the frontline of the war on cybercrime.
