Recovery for GPCode Ransomware Trojan

Monday June 16, 2008
Antivirus vendor Kaspersky has published a how-to-guide for recovering files encrypted by the latest version of the GPCode ransomware Trojan. The tools involved are free, but recovery does mean following a specific sequence of steps. It's imperative that victims not reboot their system or perform other activities on the infected computer prior to carrying out these steps. For complete details, see the Kaspersky GPCode File Recovery Steps.
