Cleaning 'Autorun Viruses'

A dozen years ago, viruses most commonly spread from PC to PC via infected floppy disks. As writeable CDs and DVDs took over, the floppy disk went by the wayside. But thanks to USB drives, the problem of malware spreading via infected media is back in full swing. One common symptom: you try to access the removeable drive and some other application takes over. Your best bet, boot into safe mode, disable autorun, then run a full scan of the system. For details, see:
