Security firm Symantec is celebrating 25 years of business by detailing the history of Internet security in a series of articles titled "Let's Do the Time Warp!" Now, as much as I like the Rocky Horror Picture Show and appreciate the trip down memory lane, it is just a tad disconcerting to read this little tidbit:
"Notable threats of the 90s included the Michelangelo virus, Melissa, and MyDoom."
Sounds more like it's time to adjust the dials on that time machine. MyDoom is a much more modern threat, first discovered in January 2004.
