Sex, Spam, and Conspiracy

Friday July 28, 2006
It's been one year since Russia's most notorious spammer, Vardan Kushnir, was found bludgeoned to death. Despised by hundreds, if not thousands, the murder was initially presumed to be one of revenge for his incessant spamming. Within days, however, Moscow authorities reported Kushnir was the victim of a botched robbery attempted by two women he met earlier in a bar. Now Wired News has published "The Sleazy Life and Nasty Death of Russia’s Spam King" - and it makes one wonder whether the robbery motive might be a cover-up and the initial theory correct.
