State of NY Sues Spyware Firm

New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has announced a lawsuit against Los Angeles-based Intermix Media, Inc. According to the AG's press release, the company is allegedly responsible for not only secretly downloading spyware to victim PCs, but no uninstaller was provided and the programs sometimes "reinstalled themselves after being deleted."
