A Spanish language worm

Wednesday November 24, 2004
Last week's Sober.I worm arrived in either German or English language messages, depending on the domain of the recipient. This week, a new rash of internationally-flavored worms have appeared. The Anzae (a.k.a. Tasin, Inzae) family began arriving in Spanish language on November 19th with the discovery of Anzae.A. A total of four variants have since been identified, with Anzae.B, Anzae.C, and Anzae.D all discovered on November 22nd. At least three of the four variants attempt to delete files found on infected users' systems and each attempts to download further malware. As with Sober, the worm infects regardless of the language used on the target system.
