Scam emails lead to Trojaned websites

Criminal emailers are increasingly enticing users to visit websites that have been booby-trapped with downloader Trojans. The carrot may be a promise of porn or a scare tactic similar to a phishing scam where the user is urged to visit a site because of alleged problems with their account. Of course, as with traditional phishing scams, the URL of the website has been obfuscated and the reader is really being lured to a hostile web destination.
