High risk Netsky.D discovered

Following a busy weekend that produced several new Bagle variants, including the medium risk Bagle.C and Bagle.E, Monday morning brought yet another Netsky variant. Netsky.D is a mass-mailing email worm with a sophisticated mailing routine reminscent of the highly effective Sobig worm. Indeed, within hours of its discovery, Netsky.D has been assigned a HIGH risk rating. Mikko Hypponen, Director of Anti-Virus Research at F-Secure, speculates, "If it continues spreading at these levels it might go on to break the previous records set by Mydoom.A and Sobig.F."
