MyDoom.F worm gains traction

A mass-mailing email worm that also spreads via mapped network drives, MyDoom.F contains a malicious payload, a backdoor component, and a Denial or Service attack targeting both Microsoft and the RIAA. Discovered on Feb 19th, MyDoom.F gained sudded traction on Feb 23rd, prompting some antivirus vendors to raise the threat level from Low to High.
