World Summit attendees bugged

Sunday December 14, 2003
Bug-implanted badges tracked attendees at the World Summit on the Information Society, The Washington Times reports. Unknowingly worn by high-ranking officials from 174 countries, including the U.S., the RFID chips tracked attendees movements and were databased along with their photos and personal details. Ironically, the summit was convened to discuss such issues as Internet privacy and security.
